This is a book of phonetics, written by an expert phonetician with over 40 years of experience in research and teaching, for instructors of English phonetics in EFL training and re-training programs, prospective and practicing EFL teacher trainees at such programs, and EFL teachers who plan to self-train and equip themselves with the basic knowledge needed for the teaching of English pronunciation. For these users, a thorough and all-inclusive book on English phonetics may not be what they need for their tasks at hand. Instead, a short and highly focused version may work better for them with their usual tight schedules of work or study.
Hence this book and the following features of it:

● Containing only the bare minimum of basic knowledge and concepts
